Every year an estimated 500 billion disposable cups are thrown away worldwide after a single use! That’s 1 million cups an hour and the number is growing. Over 1.2 billion disposable coffee cups are used each year in Australia, 90% of which end up in landfill or littering the streets.

Green Caffeen was born to make a difference! 2 Dad's frustrated by the Bring Your Own Cup Concept knew there had to be a better, more convenient way... We've set ourselves a realistic target to Save 1 Million Disposable Coffee Cups from entering Landfill...

Passion, desire and the drive to clean up the South Coast.

Two Mum's who are giving everything they have to educate, inspire and leading the charge to get people cleaning up our 'backyard' - and how fortunate are we to be surrounded by oceans and waterways that are currently clogged with things that don't belong.

Led by Shell Cove's own, Christine Bernisconi, Oceans in Focus' mission is to monitor and document our oceans and seas most threatened areas; initiate education programs, raise awareness and inform the global public; share our oceans with photography and film, through exhibitions and publications; sustain motivation and empower at a personal level; inspire global change and action within our children and young people; organise eco-expeditions, virtual classrooms, and educational seminars and negotiate with local communities to implement sustainable eco-tourism.

Oceans in Focus

A Shell Cove led initiave, the Two Week Red Bin Challenge is a simple - and effective - approach to 'practical environmentalism' that people can use in their homes and daily lives. The videos, posts and ideas aim to make easy and lasting changes to reduce volumes to landfill, improve recycling habits and knowledge and help the community drive to a smaller environmental footprint.

Motivated by a desire to make information easily available to the public to enable informed choices and ideas. They are average day people providing simple suggestions through research and experience and documenting and sharing their own plastic-free journey.
