Let's work together. The Indigenous voice of this country is over 65,000 years old; walk with us in a movement of the Australian people for a better future.  Celebrating our traditional custodians and NAIDOC, take part in a special Indigenous experience hosted by Gumaraa. 

FREE Interactive workshop traditional artefacts including firesticks and the didgeridoo, plus dreamtime stories of the whale. 



Popes Produce will be there for 2 x 30 minute workshops, letting little people explore flowers! Kids can look, touch and smell the flowers, then have a chat before creating their own flower collage from petals. Register your little one for this free workshop.

Presented by Indigo Eco, this 90min workshop will educate and teach you about backyard beekeeping, honey and how to make your own beeswax wraps - and you get to keep them!!

Held within the sales centre, this workshop is strictly limited! There is a minimal fee of $30 to cover the cost of your wraps.

6pm - Author Talk - Cath McKinnon

We are trialling a Shell Cove book club, the first book is Storyland by Catherine McKinnon and 10 copies are available for loan from the Sales Centre.

The first meeting is July 1st from 6pm – 7pm and Catherine McKinnon will be there for a Q&A.



​Come along to this wonderfully creative workshop with Nikki from Little Wild Ones. Using nature and it's treasures as inspiration, Nikki's play session will facilitate art, craft and group activities to foster individual and group connections to the land and each other.

Over the course of 90minutes be lead through a creative journey, share morning tea and leave encouraged and empowered to spend more of your leisure time immersed in nature.

This activity is designed for parents, carers and grandparents to enjoy with their preschool-aged children.


Got a great idea? We have our first ‘Pitch It’ event taking place! Over the past year, local community events have riased over $600 and with Frasers Property matching the funds, we have $1200 to give away!

Come to The Waterfront Sales Centre ready to share a 3-minute pitch to your community or join in the night as a voter. Everyone who attends on the night will have one vote to give to their favourite pitch and up to 3 ideas will receive funds. If you would like to ‘pitch it’ email The only requirement is that your idea has a positive impact on the local community.

Hosted within the Sales Centre, this is a chance to learn more about making your own DIY products to use around the home minimising toxins, excessive plastics and save money! Book here to secure your spot... its free!


    Open every Thursday and Friday from 10 to 3pm for tinkerers to drop by and use the space under the guidance and supervision of the workshop facilitator Anita Larkin. Bring along your questions and jobs, find something at the Revolve Shop and TINKER with it. Open to all ages from 16 years. Cost: gold coin donation. Two special days of education and awareness to inspire the most important people on the planet – the next gen. Shell Cove's own, Christine Bernisconi, of Oceans in Focus will lead several workshops all about the water and how we protect and save our most threatened areas


    Small business makes the world go round - in a sustainable, eco and good-will way.

    Supporting the 'slow' and the creatives, this is a chance to showcase some of the regions most talented individuals and businesses. 


    Junkyard Beats are renowned for their dynamic rhythm shows. They present a series of high-energy routines that include body percussion, fire drumming, junk percussion, pyrotechnics and hilarious skits. 

    Their family-friendly show draws on inspiration from everyday life, the streets and the junkyard. It is filled with imagination, humour and a lot of rhythm. 

    In the hands of Junkyard Beats, ordinary household items are transformed into musical instruments that create a booty shaking, toe-tapping , electric atmosphere that makes you want to get up and move. 

  • 12.30pm: Bin it to WIN it! 

    A game show but not like you know it - awareness and education is essential when it comes to waste wise, but how well do you know what goes where?

    Join us from 12.30 on Saturday 6 July when Shell Cove's own waste warrior, Kellie Kaschubs of the Two Week Red Bin Challenge puts a handful of people to the test! 

  • 1pm: Re:New RUNWAY 

    Co-hosted by Laura Wells and Shell Cove's own Michelle Taylor of Get Dressed Hire, the Re:New runway is a FREE event showcasing some of the latest, most sustainable trends in fashion, educating and creating awareness around the impact what you're wearing has and ways to lessen the impact. And what's a fashion show without a little fun - Trashion - when you're fashion is inspired by trash, amazing things can happen - well, bright, big and bold anyway!PLUS! We've set the challenge for some of the regions most recognised to pull together a runway-ready outfit with nothing more than $50 and the day to do it. 

  • 2pm The Futures Panel

    Big change grows from many actions! 

    Ask the experts, learn from the do-ers and be inspired by the everyday people making BIG change. We will have a panel of local leaders to facilitate a discussion and collaborate on community-led initiatives to continue to support Re:New once the festival is over.
